Placet Hic Requiescere Musis is the social building of the Utrechtsch Studenten Corps in Utrecht. The building is usually referred to as 'PHRM', 'the pub' or 'the Yellow Castle'. The building was designed in 1898 by the architect August Heinrich Zinsmeister and built in 1900 at the Janskerkhof. Placet Hic Requiescere Musis means "It pleases the Muses to rest here" in Latin.

We design ourselves

All models are designed by ourselves and then printed in our 3D printing studio. This way we can switch quickly, make small series and still remain creative. Moreover, within the manufacturing industry we are purely Dutch in this way and we do not have to have anything produced abroad.

Materials

Each format is approximately 30% larger in scale than its slightly smaller brother. So an XL size is about twice as high, wide and deep compared to an S size.

[fusion_dropcap class="fusion-content-tb-dropcap"]O[/fusion_dropcap]p 26 februari 1816 werd de Utrechtsche Studenten Sociëteit ‘Placet Hic Requiescere Musis’ opgericht. Na op verschillende plekken gehuisvest te zijn, kwam er aan het einde van de negentiende eeuw een sterke behoefte aan een eigen behuizing. Op 13 oktober 1892 werd daarom een “bouwfonds” opgericht. Op 24 november 1897 werd een huis met tuin aan het Janskerkhof gekocht met de bedoeling het af te breken en er een nieuw gebouw neer te zetten. Van de 66 ingezonden ontwerpen voor een nieuw gebouw viel het ontwerp van de architect August Zinsmeister (1867-1941) het meest in de smaak. Met dit ontwerp ging men na enige wijzigingen op 2 februari 1899 definitief akkoord. Op 23 april 1901 vond onder grote belangstelling de officiële opening van het gebouw aan het Janskerkhof plaats.
